Mäm Short Movie Character

Mäm is the main character of the short movie The Breath ("O Sopro"). I was responsible for modeling, rigging and texturing her. It was my first experience in a 3D animation group production, so the chalenge was to learn and apply the knowledge respecting the deadlines developing our own workflow. My goal was to translate the 2D concept for a 3D universe and texture her with a stylized handpainted texture using just Base Color and Normal Map channels. This short movie was our final project at the Animation Design Graduation Course at Faculdade Méliès. Concept and animation by Julia Deps, lighting and post production by Jonathan de Abreu and sound design by Viviane Barbosa.

In the movie there are many close up shots of the hand so the texture was very detailled at that area.

As she just show up from the waist up I didn't spend much time painting the feet. Maybe for an other activation.
